Create Opsgenie Notification Channel

Prerequisites​

API key from the Opsgenie platform.

Generate API key from Opsgenie​

  1. Login into your Opsgenie account.

  2. Go to the Teams tab and select a team (Example: SnappyFlow).

  3. In the team window, go to the Integration section.

  4. Click the Add integration button.

  5. In the Add integration window, select API as the integration type.

  6. In the Setting section, scroll down and click the Save Integration button.

  7. Scroll up and copy the API Key to the clipboard.

Set up Opsgenie Notification Channel​

  1. Go to the Manage tab.

  2. Navigate to your Profile > Notifications section.

  3. In the Notifications section, enter the required details:

    • Type - Click the drop-down icon and select OpsGenie
    • Name - Provide a meaningful name for this channel
    • API Key - Enter the API key generated in your Opsgenie account

  4. Click the Verify button to validate to API Key.

  5. valid API Key message will pop up if the API key is valid.

  6. Click the Add button.

  7. A table with channel details will be generated as shown in the above image. The table has the following information:

  • Type - Notification type
  • Name - Name of the notification channel
  • Status - Current state of integration
  • Actions - The actions column has options to Edit and Delete the channel
  1. Click the Add new button to create multiple Opsgenie notification channels.
